• We are a heated studio!

    Unlike many heated yoga studios, at Better Buzz, you will experience FAR infrared heating panels. These panels heat like the sun, warming your body from within and providing a therapeutic, deep penetrating, detoxifying form of heat which expels toxins, heavy metals and pollutants from the body, providing significant benefits.

    FAR infrared heat promotes a stronger immune system, better cardiovascular health, and it also speeds up the healing process in soft tissue injuries such as tears, pulls, and sprains. The penetrating heat of FAR infrared heat therapy helps heal scars, wounds, and cuts, it also smoothes skin’s texture, lessens coarseness, and reduces pore size.

    Infrared heat penetrates the skin and gets into the cells. This type of heat rejuvenates and detoxifies the body on a cellular level. We use this particular type of heating system specifically to benefit the health of our students.

    * Please note, while our heated classes are considered safe and therapeutic for healthy individuals, it is always recommended that you check with your doctor or a medical professional before practicing if you have any concerns. Because younger students are not able to regulate their body temperature as well as adults, students under 16 are not permitted to practice at BBY and those who are 16-18 must be accompanied by an adult. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause!

  • Do you have mats I can rent?

    • No but even better, we have mats you can borrow! We also have blocks and blankets available for your use.

    What is the best option for me if I want to check out your studio as a new student?

    • Great question! Our new student special! 30 days for $30 - unlimited yoga to try all the classes you want is the best way to learn about our teachers and our studio - you can’t beat this deal!

    Do I have to commit to a certain timeframe for membership?

    • Nope - we just require two weeks notice notice if you need to cancel and we are always happy to pause if you need to go on extended vacation or in the event of injury or maternity/paternity leave.

    Do you have parking available?

    • We do! There is plenty of free street parking in front of our studio!

ABOUT OUR CLASSES

BUZZ POWERFUL FLOW.

Buzz Powerful Flow combines the connection and power of breath and movement in an rigorous and energizing sequence that will challenge you physically and mentally. You can expect to build internal heat and have an opportunity to push your growth edge. This is an invigorating class that is designed to help you explore unique and energetic sequences and stay present in your body in the midst of whatever is coming up.

Class heated 90-95°

BUZZ VINYASA FLOW.

A Buzz Vinyasa Flow class will be filled with creative sequencing. You can expect a familiar arc and movements linked by breath. You will feel challenged physically but also have space to connect to yourself in moments of pause and silence. This dynamic class encourages flexibility, and breathing with synchronicity as you are guided through flowing postures to create heat and build endurance.

BUZZ SLOW FLOW.

Buzz Slow Flow is a lovely, intentionally slower, breath-filled class where you will be guided through both slow-flowing and held postures to create connection, and find effort and ease. This is a sweet (and still sweaty!) class that allows you time (and space!) to explore the many ways slowing down can create even more space to notice sensation. We might explore props, meditation, candles, or pranayama but no matter what, you will leave feeling restored, relaxed, grounded and held.

Buzz BASICS.

Buzz Basics is for you if you’re curious about yoga but unsure where to begin. Are you a long time practitioner that still finds discomfort in familiar shapes? This 45-60 minute offering holds space for practice, for flow, and for exploration. We'll break down the ins and outs of our yoga practice, offering opportunities to dive deep into popular yoga shapes making them more accessible. The class may also hold space for optional exploration in meditation, pranayama, dharma, and/or chanting. You can expect time to ask questions, time to practice, and time to show up exactly as you are. This class is great for beginners, those returning to yoga after injury, and for those who are curious to further their practice.

BUZZ YIN.

Our dynamic movement practice is important but equally so is our stillness which is why you need Buzz Yin! We will begin with centering + gentle movement to release whatever you are holding onto before moving into the longer held Yin shapes which help to (safely) release the body’s connective fascial tissues and provide ease and fluidity to the body and encourage support to our nervous system.

BUZZ FUNCTIONAL FLOW.

Buzz Functional Flow incorporates movements to keep your body healthy for the long-term. You can expect unique, off-the-mat, creative sequences to keep your whole kinetic chain in motion, get your synovial fluid moving and ensure that all six motions of the spine are activated. This may not look like your 'typical' class (and it shouldn't) really, what is 'typical' anyway? This class is for athletes, people who sit at desks all day, cyclists, runners, humans in bodies, people with chronic pain, those looking to increase mobility, anyone who wants to challenge a different part of your brain. 

Buzz ALIGNED VINYASA.

Join us for this systematic vinyasa class that will build on different flowing shapes in a thoughtful and alignment-based way while also moving through fluid transitions with intention. We will both create integration in our bodies while practicing observation in our minds. You can expect to learn about all of the different shapes, learn foundational principles, and be challenged to grow in your practice. This class is for all levels of practitioner and is a is a lovely moving meditation that will also focus on principles of alignment.
