TENNESSEE PASS, COLORADO
Coming again September 2024

TENNESSEE PASS, COLORADO - October 4-6, 2024

ENGAGE + INQUIRE: Our yoga practice is an evolution. And just like that practice, so too, is a journey to the top of Tennessee Pass. The energy of autumn is about creative expression and transformation. Our time will allow us the space to nurture our own internal wisdom. At the top of the pass, so too shall we start standing at the top of our mats. Are you ready to explore with us?

  • Our yoga practice is an evolution. And just like that practice, so too, is a journey to the top of Tennessee Pass. This one has us starting standing at the top of our mats.

Tennessee Pass Sleep Yurts are glamping off-the-grid.

After a lovely and contemplative 1.3 mile hike into the backcountry, you will find your belongings and accommodations waiting for you.

For the next 2 nights, you will be surrounded by the pristine San Isabel forest.

You’ll arrive in a cocoon of warmth, to a fire that is already started for you in the soapstone wood stove.

Each yurt is beautifully furnished with handcrafted log beds (full linens including down comforters), and gorgeous soapstone wood stoves to make sure you are cozy and comfortable after our day of yoga asana, ritual and ceremony, meditation and community gathering.

Take in views of the highest fourteeners in Colorado from the deck and curl up under a thick down comforter and watch the stars through the skylight.

The cookhouse, where we will be sharing our meals, is a short .3 mile walk, where we will enjoy delicious and nourishing meals together.

  • Our time will begin in ceremony. From the moment we begin our ascent, we will have the opportunity for curiosity.

You have chosen this retreat for a reason, this trail we are climbing is now one we have time to explore.

As we wind our way through the trees toward our high-mountain destination, we will be asked some guiding questions about our time together.

Once we arrive, we will be greeted with a delicious dinner and conversation before moving into a contemplative evening yoga class.

Our evening ends under the stars, either over a hot beverage or maybe you’ve decided to drift away already…falling asleep, held in the comfort of the cozy mountain yurt, the stars visible through the skylight - knowing the possibility for expansion exists in the morning. There is so much trail to explore.

  • • 5 (optional) yoga asana and/or meditation practices per day

    • All meals prepared at 11,000 feet, in the backcountry - specifically prepared to nourish your body, mind and soul healthy and custom to feed your soul by a michelin star trained chef. You will never experience anything like this.

    • 2 nights, 3 days of breathtaking, high-elevation accommodation in soapstone-stone crafted yurts

    • Opening evening ceremony

    • Access to unlimited trails, hiking and all that the Rocky Mountains have to offer

    • We find engagement with one another through deep connection with the natural world, inquiry about our purpose and an open spirit for exploration.

OUR COMMITMENT TO INVESTIVE TRAVEL

We believe that oftentimes, travel and tourism can be extractive. When selecting the locations we choose to retreat towards, we consider the economic benefits as well as the impact we will have on the community. This might look like actively working in the areas we visit to restore the land or it might be more financial in nature but either way, there will be an investment made in the location we are visiting.

We are also proud to be partnering with the crowd-sourced, micro-lending, non-profit Kiva, which helps unlock capital and bring long-term investments to marginalized and underserved folks in communities around the world (some of which we may be visiting!)

A portion of your retreat proceeds will be helping to fund projects that will truly be life-changing loans for those involved. You will also have the opportunity to directly contribute to those folks for whom it resonates if you feel called at a deeper level.

As with all things, we look to nature as our guide - our carefully crafted retreats follow a cadence and arc that flow with the natural rhythm. Each one will build on the next and while you can absolutely attend each in isolation, the pulse and measure of each offers a common thread throughout, following seasons, tapping into the innate and internal calendar that we all crave at different times. There is something magical that happens when we are able to drop in and follow the essential order of the universe and that is what we are traveling towards.
